The Evil Inside

Imagine that today is your 18th birthday. For your birthday your
family has given you a special gift; immortality and the ability to
raise the dead. They also inform you that with this power you will be
able to fulfill your destiny and lead an army of the undead in a war
against all mankind. There is just one problem, you love the world as
it is and have many friends. How do you handle this news? Would you do
as expected or fight the evil within?

Weighing In & Waiting Out

"The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese" - Philosoraptor

I apologize for my lack of updates! This has been a wacky week. On Monday & Tuesday I attended some employment seminar where I and some 19 other unemployed individuals met with counselors to discuss resume building, proper interview techniques and networking tips. I, for one, was very annoyed by the entire operation because it seemed to me as though most of my classmates were not the sharpest knives in the drawer. Now, I am not saying that I am in any way superior, I'm simply saying that I felt out of place. After two days and roughly 6 hours of torture, I was presented with a certificate and assigned a personal employment counselor. This was all for free and for that I very thankful. It is nice to know that there are organizations in this country that will assist low income families and all of us in need who are more than less off in society. The downside is that I now have to wait until next week to meet with the counselor and I must be patient as finding employment will take more time. *sigh*

With Monday & Tuesday out of the way, along rolled Wednesday, the day I had been waiting for all month! On Wednesday Apple Inc. rolled out the newest iPhone OS 3.0 update and I was thrilled! I downloaded that puppy as soon as it was available! What I love most about the new update is the landscape keyboard which is now available on the Messaging, Notes and Email apps. This was something that I ranted about not having when I was first given my iPhone because I have big thumbs. Aside from the keyboard fix, the new OS has tons of fun new features. Still waiting for that new iPhone release.

Thursday put me one day closer to the new iPhone 3GS that I cannot afford right now but for some reason I get very excited when new and fun technology updates roll out. On Thursday I decided that in order to lose weight I would have to do some major cutting back on carbs, so I am not allowing myself carbs after noon. It will be tough but hopefully it will teach me better control. I set my goal, now I must achieve it.

TGIF! The new iPhone 3GS came out today and guess who can't stop Tweeting about it? Spencer Pratt (from The Hills)

He Tweets the following:

" Tweeting is so much fun from my new iPhone 3g 32gb S - anyone who didn't know steve jobs did the "S" for Speidi On the new iPhone!"

"It's mine! http://twitpic.com/7szay "

Why am I irritated? Not because he has a 3GS but because he thinks he's "thebomb.com" did you catch Speidi's rediculous antics on "I'm a Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here"

Your thoughts?

and for more laughs...

More like "Celebutard" Spencer rapping = Lame

Moving right along, with the morning already completely gone, I feel as though I have wasted the day. What to do? This weekend is going to be lame for sure but I will manage. I will be doing some more writing later on after I have collected my thoughts. Look out for my Top Ten iPhone apps. Happy Friday everyone!

Rants/Raves and Miley Cyrus

"Another day, another Carrot" - Bugs Bunny

I cannot believe it is Thursday already! The week has gone by so fast and I feel as though I have no life. Oh well...I have friends, family and I'm loved...So life is good nonetheless.

Today's iPhone app

Cooliris

So I really LOVE this app!! As this most annoying host on HSN keeps saying "Its phenomenal, it looks phenomenal, it is absolutely phenomenal!!!"

This app allows the user to quickly search for photos and videos. The results are then displayed on a gorgeous interactive 3D wall that allows for speedy scrolling, zooming and share.

Cooliris searches withing Google, YouTube and Flickr to name a few. It also allows for saving, sharing (via email or Twitter) and syncing to your PC or Mac Cooliris plug-in. :-) ah technology!

You can read more about this product HERE

6 Days Until iPhone 3.0 Update CLICK *stoked*

In other news: Fotopedia is here.

Its photosharing at its finest. Fotopedia is basically a place for you to upload photos from anywhere (Flickr, Photobucket, etc.) and share it with the fotopedia community and the world!!! You can organize your photos, nominate photos to become candidates for the encyclopedia, and vote on photos you like. It sounds fun.

To check out Fotopedia...Click Here

Rants & Raves

Hmmm where to start?

To all my twitterhollic friends....

Rant: Money making twitter scams
You know what i'm talking about! All of these people talking about how they made so much money byt\ sitting at home and tweeting all day. Just get 20,000 followers and make $4,000!!! Sounds like pish posh to me. Maybe i'm wrong? Or maybe i'm NOT! Either way...it irritates me. Can't I tweet in peace? I just want to be able to see what time of the day all of my friends are working, driving, crashing, eating etc. :-p

I don't need annoying "Make$$Tweeting" followers...BLAH... Here's an i.e.

What are your thoughts?

Rave: Next up: D.Trump fires former Miss Cali.

Check the story HERE

Rant: Something that really bothered me about Miss Carrie Prejean's answer was this..

"Well I think it's great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. Um, we live in a land that you can choose same sex marriage or opposite marriage and, you know what, in my country and in, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman," Carrie said to a mix of boos and applause. "No offense to anybody out there. But that's how I was raised and that's how I think that it should be between a man and a woman."

I really feel that she should have chose her answer carefully. Now I am aware that this is old news but it still burns me up. That answer made me think that she was not thinking for herself...All I'm sayin'

Speaking of silly beauty queens! Just for laughs, lets go off on a tangent to one of my favorite videos:

Best fail ever..

Rant: Two new viruses attacking MAC users :-( Read the story HERE
Why are people so malicious?

Rave: Miley Cyrus Tweets
Okay so I know its odd that I'm a 24 year old man following MiCy on Twitter, however they are so silly and sometimes interesting. I think several of us just eat these things up because we love seeing that celebrities are normal people too haha.

About two hours ago MiCy Tweeted that she was making a mixtape for a friend, she was cranky and for everyone to follow her mom on Twitter. She sent all of these as individual tweets and I love how she doesn't miss a beat. My goal is to tweet more than MiCy. Hey, I can dream right?

Rant: I really hate that I lost my job at Tropical Smoothie! I was let go for the most ridiculous thing, but you gotta love life right? I miss my Sunday's singing with my star Ashleigh "HOLLER!"...Hmm...Good times ^_^.

If this lady on HSN says phenomenal one more time I will have a B.F.!!!

The last thing on my mind A.T.M. is Vlogging. Are any of you familiar with vlogging, what kind of cameras do you feel works best? Do you have any tips?

Finally, my question of the day:

What are you waiting for the right moment to do?

No rest....

It is 3:20 am...
I cannot sleep...I figured "why not wright about it"... I wonder what is keeping me up? Insomnia perhaps? Sleeping is for squares...or maybe i'm the square for still being awake O_o...I'm not making any sense.

I guess I'm worried. I have not been able to find a job. I've been trying and trying. How will next months rent get paid?! I'm tired of borrowing from people. I feel like a LoSeR... I've been thinking about joining one of those cyber beg websites but all of the good ones require a fee. Hmmm if I am trying to beg for money online, how on earth am I supposed to pay a fee for a member ship? Can't they just take a % out of what is given to me :-/ It doesn't make much sense to me....

So...In other news, I know that THIS should be the last thing on my mind but I cannot help but think about it! I want it! I have the 3G but damn it I want that S

Let us see... what else is keeping me awake? Not having a car or a license...UGH that drives my mind crazy. Its almost as though I was grounded in 2006 and someone forget to "un"ground me lol...But that is another story.

So I was playing Resident Evil 4 today...I was playing "Seperate Ways" as Ada Wong (One of my fav. characters) and decided that I LOVE LOVE LOVE this scene:

She is Fierce!

I guess thats all for now. I'm going to do some online gaming.

Recommendation

In other news...My recommendations for today are as follows:
Web Shows: The Guild

Notes: This is a great show! Its funny, witty and the characters are perfect. This show focuses on a group of people who live their lives through an online RPG. Their people skills are not the best and that is what makes it funny. This will appeal mostly to gamers, however, I think anyone would enjoy it.

Music: Black Eyed Peas "The E.N.D (Energy Never Dies)"

Notes: This is just a great CD. If you like the Peas you'll love this album. It has a great sound...its different, its phunky, its B.E.P. You can check out the album on Amazon HERE

Website/Application:
Evernote

Notes: This is a great tool. It is available on the web, as an application for multiple mobile devices as well as a desktop tool. With Evernote, one can save any type of note (written, typed, photo, voice etc.) to his/her "notebooks" and sync it over the desktop tool and/or mobile app. Its amazing and it allows you to access your notes from anywhere in the world. All you do is create an account (free), set up your "notebooks" for better organization and start saving notes. In my opinion Evernote does for note taking what Delicious does for bookmarking. It just makes it easier to create and access notes. You can read more about Evernote HERE

Well folks...that is all for now.

Peace, Love, & Zombies

Addictions....

I slept the morning away :-/ oh well.....
So I've recently become very addicted to iPhone apps and social networking O_o...

Its mostly the iPhone apps I worry about. I cannot stop downloading them! Eventually I will need an iPhone with more space cuz this 8GB is not cutting it. Well its cutting it, but I'm being greedy. I want my space! I want my space!!

Website of the day: Nearby Tweets
Notes: This one is GREAT for all you Twitterbugs out there. It allows you to search local tweets within any certain radius. Its great for making new connections/friends.

Groovy

Lazy Day

I slept the day away! What a tragedy...I'm in math class right now. It is soooooo boring. We are discussing composition and decomposition of formulas as well as symmetries and transformations...blah blah blah. Well I guess it's better to be bored than struggling.

Sooo Question of the day:

When was the last time you snuck in somewhere? Was it dangerous?

This & That

Just a few recommendations:

Movie

Lagaan (Movie/Musical)

Synopsis: This is the story about the resilience shown by the Indians when they were under the British Rule. They are already taxed to the bone by the British and their cronies, but when Jack Russell announces that he will double the Lagaan (tax) from all villagers, they decide to oppose it. Leading the villagers is a handsome young man named Bhuvan, who challenges them to a game of cricket, a game that is to be played by veteran British cricket players, versus villagers, including Bhuvan himself, who have never played this game before, and do not even know a bat from a piece of wood. As the challenge is accepted, the interest grows and attracts Indians from all over the region, as well as the British from all over the country - as everyone gathers to see the 'fair play' that the British will display against their counter-parts, who are aided by none other than the sister, Elizabeth, of Captain Rusell.

Link: http://www.lagaan.com/#

Notes: My bf introduced me to this one. It has a great story and beautiful music. Check out the link.

YouTube

One of my favorite channels can be found here

Notes: This one is mostly for all of you Resident Evil fans. The cartoons are quite funny!

iPhone App

WhosHere

Notes: This is one of my favorite apps. It basically locates people around you and you can message each other and exchange contact info if you'd like. It hardly crashes, you can upload photos and create profiles. If you're a Chatty Kathy (or Charlie), you'll love this.

Music

Lady Gaga - The Fame

Notes: All I can say is that homegirl knows what she is doing. Great tracks, great voice, great messages and I love her style. Also, Gaga speaks for our team and loves Ellen

Check this vid:

That's all for now....Stay tuned O_o

Getting there...

I think I'm starting to understand all of this. I really enjoy the blogging thing and just being social in general...it makes me feel as though I really do have a voice and maybe someday I can actually make a difference with it...

Some NandoNews
- I'm unemployed and looking for a job. Suggestions?

- I'm obsessed with YouTube and plan to start my one mini web series in the future. Suggestions on video recorders and editing software?

That's it for now :-p

Happy Sunday

Another day, another...jobless day O_o ...I was up until 3am! I stay up too late...but I can never get to sleep early. I'm not sure if I'm just restless in general or if I'm severly stressed because I cannot find a job. :-( sad...anyway I'm up and about ready to get my day going. First coffee, then a nice walk/jog. It looks like a fairly decent day...
